Fred Snyder, 78, of West Pittston, passed away at home Friday July 23, 2021 with his loving family by his side. He was born in Little Falls, New York to the late Fred and Marie Pilotti Snyder.  Fred graduated from Scranton Technical High School.

He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston and prior to retirement he was employed at Pope & Talbot Inc., Ransom. Fred enjoyed doing many projects around the house, especially woodworking.

Fred is preceded in death by infant brother David and his sister Deborah Snyder.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years Ruth, Children John; Swoyersville, Marie Beviglia and husband James; Old Forge, Sidney; West Pittston, Munier and his wife Heather; West Pittston, his cherished grandchildren Torin, Daniele, McKenyzie, Azalea, and Lucca, sister; Maria Rooney, and his beloved dog Max.

Fred was a hardworking man who dedicated his life to his wife, children, and grand-children. He will be greatly missed by all.

The family would like to express sincere thanks to the caregivers, Doctors, home health, and hospice staff. Their help and support were invaluable.

There will be a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday July 28, 2021 from St. John the Evangelist Church 35 William St, Pittston.

Friends may call from 9:30 A.M. till time of service at the Church.

Burial will be in the Italian-American Cemetery, Scranton at the convenience of the family.
