William F. Dickinson

Born Jan. 19, 1951, in West Pittston, he was the son of the late George and Regina Dougher-Dickinson, and was a graduate of Wyoming Area High School and Bloomsburg University.

Bill enjoyed cheering for Penn State football and Phillies baseball and going on casino trips. He began working in the pool industry as a summer job after college and was employed for 47 years in the industry. He was the sales manager at Aqua Leisure Pools, Wilkes Barre.

He is survived by son, Conor Dickinson, Brooklyn, N.Y.; daughter, Maura Dickinson, Phoenix, Ariz.; stepdaughter, Sara Jackson, Hanover Twp.; brother, Thomas Dickinson, Carbondale; former wife and best friend, Marilyn Dickinson; nephew, Jeff Dickinson; and nieces, Gina and Danielle Dickinson.

Bill will always be remembered for his quick wit, generosity, unmatched work ethic and his uncanny ability to light up any room he entered. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday at Howell-Lussi Funeral Home Inc., 509 Wyoming Ave, West Pittston, with the Rev. James Alco officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
